Luv4Baby!

Recently I got the opportunity to review some great changing pad liners. They are made by Luv4Baby and are made of bamboo. They are great for keeping your changing pad nice and clean and are easily changed out in the event that a mess does occur. The bottom has a plastic feel to seal in any leaks or messes and the top layer is nice and soft to keep baby comfortable. They are not as wide as I would have expected but definitely do the trick. They are a great deal at this price and are great for shower gifts as well!

Easy to use and easy to clean!

Grilling season is upon us and we are really big grillers in this side of the woods. There's nothing better than a great BBQ chicken and some grilled corn on the cob. The only downfall is the cleaning up after. The scrubbing of the grates and such is just a pain. I was given the opportunity to try out these great Grill Mats and they have worked out great for my family.
We love to cook and these have made cooking and cleaning up a breeze! They keep the food fresh and not dried out which is super important to us. I also really enjoy using the baking mat when making cookies. The mats are non stick and reusable. They keep the grill nice and clean and it's easy enough to tote these back inside, wash them off with a little soap and water and carry on your day. Easy, fast, and convenient! All very important things in this day and age!

Butterbeer!

I haven’t done a recipe around here in a while so here’s a new one! I decided the other night that I really wanted to try and make some Butterbeer! Nerd Alert!! Let’s talk about how I had no idea how many different recipes there are out there for it. Oh my gosh. So here’s what I ended up doing and I think it turned out pretty good!

Ingredients:
-          1 glass of Cream Soda
-          1 spoonful of Butterscotch Syrup
-          1 cup Heavy Cream
-          Sugar
-          2 tbsp Vanilla
-          1 tbsp Butter Flavoring

First I took the glass of cream soda and mixed in a spoonful of the butterscotch in it. Then in a separate bowl I mixed together the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and butter flavor to get a whipped cream type topping. Finally plop some of the cream over the drink and voila! Super quick and super delicious. Have you had butterbeer before and what is your favorite recipe for butterbeer? What do you think of it? Good? Bad? Let me know!

Cloth Diaper all the Babies!

I loved cloth diapering my daughter and I am excited to be able to cloth diaper any future children we will have. I am constantly on the look out for great diapers and try to stock up when I find them. AngelicWare has a great cloth diaper that I am very excited about!

I love the dark material for the insert and inside of the diaper. Most diapers that I have used are white and this masks any stains really well. I also really like the double gusset feature. It contains any mess a whole lot better than just the gusset around the legs. It's easy to stuff and easy to clean.

The snaps provide a wide range of sizing options which is awesome because then it can really grow with baby. Some other diapers do not have the multiple sizes around the legs but this AngelicWare one does and I really enjoy it!

What if I fall?....

One of my favorite rooms in our new house is my daughters. I had so much fun decorating it and I’m excited to see how it evolves throughout the years. Right now we have a lot of pastels and whimsy. Here’s a few pictures of some of her décor.

One of my favorite pieces is her hot air balloon. My great aunt made it and it used to be above my bed when I was a baby and growing up. I’m so glad I get to share it with her. She loves to lay in bed and watch it swirl back and forth when I spin it gently.

Another one of my favorite pieces is this inspirational quote print from Craft Street Design

I want her to be able to remember that anything is possible and I am a firm believer of how positive quotes can change your attitude. The design fits right in with her room and the quality is perfect. The paper is thick and the print is flawless. She is definitely a little firecracker right now so I hope she never loses that spirit. Look at the packaging it came in! Talk about presentation. It’s gorgeous!

ThinkFun Yoga Cards!

One of my daughters’ new favorite things to do with me every day is yoga. At least once throughout the day she pulls out my mat all by herself, rolls it out, and declares that it is time for “yogi”. I love her new found love of it. We get to spend time together and it has definitely helped in getting me to calm down a bit and relax. I decided to try out this yoga gamefor kids from ThinkFun
She loves the cards and being able to imitate the step on each one. It is super fun because in the morning if we feel like waking up our bodies a little we can pick 3 random poses from the deck and spice it up each day.  The poses are simple for children to be able to accomplish and the cards all fit snug in a small box to keep them neat and organized. It’s fun to be able to learn new poses and spend time with my daughter!

Finally to start making our house a home!

I have always wanted a flag in our yard. Even at our old house I have wanted to hang a flag. At this house it’s a little hard to be able to find a spot to hang one. Enter this amazing metal flag stand.

It even came with a flag! I am so excited to be able to represent our country and be proud to fly it. It is made of metal so it is very sturdy and is also very easy to out together. It also comes with a few things to help keep the flag in place. A small gripper and a clip. It’s a decent size and I am very happy with how it turned out in my yard!

Are you a Nursing Momma?

I was skeptical of this bra at first. I hate most nursing bras. They don't fit right, they are uncomfortable, and just don't feel secure. Luckily I was able to try this Mamaway Nursing Bra and it has forever changed my outlook on them. I never need to be concerned about a nip slip or etc in public. It is so comfortable and really stretches with you. I like that you can adjust the different sizes because lets be real, it matters a lot. There is no underwire but you still feel super supported.

I like that the pads can be taken in or out and the clip can be easily undone with one hand. The clip also fits well against your skin. I have used ones that itch or come apart too easily or etc but this one is perfect. It’s quick and easy and makes nursing a whole lot easier without having to move things around and pull your whole bra down and etc. I also really like the choice of colors it is available in.

I love it and will definitely be purchasing more to wear throughout pregnancy, nursing, and probably afterwards as well.

Gardening Time!

It’s Spring and that means it’s time to start working out in the garden. With the new house we basically get to start fresh and have a lot of gardening and chopping down to do. We are hoping to plant a vegetable garden someplace. Anyone have any hints or tips for this? We also have a few bushes and plants that are just unsightly and need to be trimmed down or taken out. Recently I’ve been using these pruning shears from Haus & Garten and they have been working wonders.
http://www.amazon.com/Haus-Garten-Pruning-Shears-Titanium/dp/B00CD2WB3C/
These shears are made of metal and have held up very well so far. I also really enjoy the handles. They are very comfortable and have an easy grip. One of the best things about these shears is the sap grooves. It’s amazing! They are large enough to keep all the nasty sap and etc far away from your hands. So far so good with these. I can’t wait to see where we get with the yard. I’ve trimmed quite a few shrubs in the front and once it gets a little warmer we will plant some flowers and trim the bushes along the side of the house. I can’t wait! Now we just need the warm weather…
